Nestled amongst the rolling hills and unspoilt countryside of the Glonn Valley, Unterweikertshofen in the Dachau district exudes tranquillity and rural peace. With a population of 600, the village boasts a vibrant community life with twelve clubs and associations and a strong sense of community. The ‘Schuihaus’, a listed school building, was carefully restored by the school building association. The transport links are also excellent: shopping facilities can be found in the neighbouring municipalities of Erdweg and Odelzhausen, whilst the district town of Dachau, with its many amenities, is around 19 minutes’ drive away. The Erdweg S-Bahn station, three kilometres away, provides a connection to Munich city centre; the journey takes 45 minutes. There is a bus stop right on the doorstep.
