Buying property: the right time
Nor does the current economic situation give much cause for concern that inflation might rise in the short term, thereby necessitating higher interest rates. Mortgages with interest rates below 3.0 per cent for 10-year terms are currently available again – and for those with particularly good credit ratings and a high level of equity, rates start as low as 2.80 per cent. Banks are offering special terms for energy-efficient properties (Class A and A+) to meet ESG criteria.
These favourable financing options, combined with the price adjustments of the last two years, make buying property particularly attractive at the moment. The supply of properties is also comparatively high at present, offering buyers more choice. So anyone looking to buy a property in the near future should find out more and act soon. As the magazine ‘Wirtschaftswoche’ aptly put it: ‘Property: Now is the time!’
