The RIEDEL Management Team

AI Software Engineer / Software Developer (m/f/d)

We are systematically automating our processes and developing our own applications for this purpose: an AI-powered property search on our website, automated property valuations, scoring models for customer potential, and a growing number of automated features within our CRM system. Our team for the further development of digital processes and solutions currently consists of four people and is set to expand – to this end, we are looking to fill the company’s first permanent developer role.

Your role

  • You will establish robust quality standards for our in-house development, ensuring clear architecture, maintainable code, version control, testing and documentation.
  • You will develop internal applications and automation tools to support our sales and administrative processes and ensure they run smoothly in production.
  • You will continue to expand our Data Hub on AWS: adding new sources, extending the data model and ensuring data quality.
  • In the long term, you will be responsible for the data flows between our CRM Propstack, HubSpot and other systems.
  • You will implement AI-powered applications – from connecting the models through to integrating them into your colleagues’ day-to-day work.
  • You’ll assess which requirements are worth developing in-house and which are better covered by existing or third-party systems.
  • You’ll act as a technical sparring partner for the team and highlight where there’s a more viable approach than the one initially envisaged.
  • You’ll take charge of independent projects and areas of responsibility. The topics for these will be assigned to you by senior management and your line manager.

Your profile

  • 2–5 years’ professional experience in software development within a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in a modern programming language, ideally Python or TypeScript, as well as with REST interfaces, Git and automated deployments
  • Practical experience with AWS or Azure, ideally with the Microsoft 365 environment, and a willingness to familiarise yourself with other platforms.
  • Knowledge of SQL and the fundamentals of data modelling
  • An interest in AI-driven development; experience with interfaces for common language models would be an advantage
  • Experience with automation platforms such as Make
  • Knowledge of the property or CRM sectors would be an advantage
  • An understanding of the business purpose of an application and the ability to question requirements rather than simply implementing them
  • An independent, structured approach to work and a willingness to take on responsibility rather than simply working through tasks
  • Very good command of German is required; alternatively, a good command of German combined with a very good command of English.

What we offer

  • Plenty of creative freedom in setting up our in-house software development team and the opportunity to help shape technical solutions right from the start.
  • A direct reporting line to our organisational developer for AI and automation – short lines of communication, a clear point of contact
  • Independent areas of responsibility rather than simply processing tasks – no jobs to sit out
  • An environment where automation and AI are not merely discussed but actually implemented, with correspondingly high visibility for your work
  • Professional development and individual career prospects
  • Flexible working hours and remote working by arrangement
  • A modern head office in the centre of Munich with a team that enjoys working together
  • Wellpass for your health
  • A mobility allowance of your choice as an additional benefit
  • JobRad bike leasing for sustainable and flexible mobility
  • Modern headquarters by the English Garden in the heart of the city, offering ideal opportunities for collaboration and networking
  • An exciting and dynamic working environment in a growing industry
  • The opportunity to contribute and implement your own ideas
  • An attractive salary with additional bonuses for outstanding performance
  • A structured induction programme, with a ‘mentor’ to support you
  • A very pleasant, collegial and supportive working atmosphere
  • A wide range of team events as part of RIEDEL Life & Style
  • A secure, permanent role in a values-driven family business with a long history
